The Vectrix Zero Emissions Scooter

The ultimate city pollution solution

Proposed 'finished' vectrix scooter

Not just any electric scooter, the Vectrix Scooter offers much more. With the the accelerating that exceeds most 400cc petrol scooters and the handling to match.

The point of the Vetrix is that it cost the same, looks the same, weighs the same and handles the same as a petrol scooter, but out performs them and with zero emissions. It is also quieter and cheaper to run than a petrol scooter and can be charged anywhere with a mains electrical supply is available.

AutoFT ltd are working with Vectrix USA to supply 'finished' & 'clothed' scooters to major dealers around the UK and Europe. AutoFT are the perfect partner, having been a supplier of environmental automotive solutions for a number of years. AutoFT are also keen to market the scooter as a fleet vehicle see link on the left.

Riding the 'green' scooter: Not being qualified to ride a scooter, I hitched a ride on the back of Vectrix's prototype scooters to trail the vehicle for myself (note that the bike is designed to carry the driver and a passenger). Straight away I noticed the low speed acceleration, with the ability to spin it's rear Pirelli-shod wheel, the scooter has neck-snapping accelerating. After adjusting to the accelerating, the quiet ride becomes apparent. In Vectrix's tests the bike emits just 50dBA as opposed to 75+dBA (at 25mph) of traditional scooters. Finally my driver demonstrated the cornering ability of the scooter with a maximum lean of 45 degrees, the batteries clearly do little to limit the vehicle's performance.
